I worked at Nursing Spectrum/Nurseweek as a Production Associate for several years, putting the magazine pieces together. Working with sales and editorial staff, I was responsible for putting together two bi-monthly regional magazines and several bi-annual specialty guides.
I was part of the team that consolidated the production of several regional magazines into one location and assisted in the early stages of putting magazine content online.
I did contract work for a small design firm where I worked on Communiqué, a bi-monthly magazine of the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM)
I was responsible for:
- Cover art creation.
- Layout of entire magazine.
- Placement of ads.
- Working with educators and writers to source art for articles and continuing education lessons.
- Preparing magazine for print.
